The only reason Christmas and the celebration of the birth of Jesus is in December is the fact it was used to mask the celebration of Re-birth of the sun rising again after the Winter Solstice. No amount of decoration and forced jolliness can distract me from the fact that nature is at its lowest ebb as the sun "dies ". I wonder if the " sun " rising is linked to the " son of man " rising from the dead ? Hmmmmm......
And cathdedrals were built on prior pagan sites. The Catholic communion is a straight-up copy of a pagan ritual.
